Extremely Shai 1990 - 2009 There's something mystical about a lady and her first stallion and Extremely Shai provided that magic for me. He didn't come out of his stall, he arrived and held court. He didn't go for a ride, he showed you the joy of the journey. He didn't breed the mares, he wined them and dined them , kissed their necks and asked permission, always striking a perfect stand up pose afterwards, in case they looked his way returning to their stall. 3 different artists asked if they could paint him, Cats Meow Collectibles used him as their Arabian model, and fans flooded his stall at the Equine Affaires, not quite believing that they could actually come right into his stall and pet him without any fear of "the Black Arabian Stallion". He was my special friend and soul mate and I will always be grateful that he came into my life and gave me such pleasure just to be with him. He died doing what he loved best and I miss him every day, even more so now as I watch his sons and daughters grow up to be just as beautiful as he was. Rest in Peace, Sweet Prince. |
